The CAS-ANSO Scholarship (Degree Program) 2026 Call for Applications for international students looking to study in China on a fully funded Scholarship.
This scholarship aims at training and preparing young scientists from across the globe. Supporting 100 – 200 Master’s students and 300 PhD students every year to pursue postgraduate education at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) and institutes of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) around China.

CAS-ANSO Scholarship for International Student 2026
The PhD program covers:
a) Tuition Waiver.
b) Monthly Stipend: ¥6,000 – ¥7,000 monthly (up to 48 months).
c) Application fee waiver.
d) Health insurance.
e) International travel allowance.
f) One-time visa/residence permit allowances.
The Master’s program covers:
a) Tuition Waiver.
b) Monthly Stipend: ¥3,000 monthly (up to 36 months).
c) Application fee waiver.
d) Health insurance.
e) International travel allowance.
f) One-time visa/residence permit allowances.
CAS-ANSO Scholarship for International Student 2026 Eligibility
• Applicants should NOT hold Chinese citizenship;
• Applicants should be proficient in English or Chinese language;
• For Master’s program applicants: you should be born after 1st January 1996 (inclusive);
For PhD program applicants: you should be born after 1st January 1991 (inclusive);
• Eligible applicants should meet the admission criteria for international students of USTC/UCAS;
• Applicants should NOT take up other assignments during the period of his/her scholarship.
• You are NOT eligible for the master’s or PHD scholarship if you are currently pursuing a master’s or PHD degree at any Chinese university/institution.
Note: Applicants should not apply for the CAS-ANSO Scholarship in both USTC and UCAS simultaneously, to avoid disqualified from admission.
How to apply for CAS-ANSO Scholarship 2026
The CAS-ANSO international Scholarship is open for application on 15th October 2025.
while the deadline for Applicants and Referees: 31st January 2026 (Beijing Time)
Anyone who is not a Chinese citizen; should be proficient in English or Chinese; Master’s applicant should not be less than 30 years while a PhD applicants should not be less than 35 by the time of application; and applicant should not currently pursue a master’s or PHD degree at any Chinese university/institution.
