- Candidate must be an ASEAN member country, excluding Singapore
- Must have a strong leadership quality and potential.
- Must have a good co-curricular activities record.
- Must possess excellent high school results.
- Candidates must apply for admission to a full-time undergraduate degree programme at NUT, ย NTU, SMU, or SIT.
- Transfer candidates from local or overseas universities are not eligible

The benefits of the ASEAN scholarship includes:
- Covers 100% undergraduate tuition fees.

- A one-time computer allowance: S$1,750
