The KAS Scholarship is aimed at international students who wish to begin a degree program (Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, doctorate degree and research stay of not less than four semesters at a German university.
International candidates admitted for PHD will receive a stipend amount of €1,400. While the Bachelor’s, Master’s or postgraduate students will receive a monthly stipend of €992.

Konrad Adenauer Stiftung scholarship Requirement
- No age limit for applicants.
- Applicants should have excellent academic performance.
- Good German language skill is required (B2 level).
- Submit an online application on the KAS Portal.
- Submit Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Submit letter of motivation.
- Submit copies of your academic transcripts from your home university.
- Submit copies of previous degree certificates (Include German translations if not available in English).
- Submit a letter of recommendation from a university professor not older than two months.
- Submit letter of acceptance or certificate of enrollment to a German university.
- For doctoral applicants: Submit a written German or English proposal comprising of 5 – 10 pages max, a letter of recommendation from your doctoral supervisor .

The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung scholarship awards a monthly stipend of €992 for Bachelor’s, Master’s or postgraduate students and PHD students will receive an amount of €1,400.
Other scholarship benefits includes: Health care insurance, Family supplement if your spouse stays in Germany above three months, monthly child benefit, Subsidized research trips abroad for doctoral candidates, Reimbursed tuition fee depending on application.

KAS Scholarship Requirements
- Submit an online application (including your professional background, personal background, your career goals) on the KAS Portal.
- Submit your Curriculum Vitae (CV) with dates
- A Letter of motivation (explain why you are applying to the scholarship).
- Submit copies of previous degree certificates (Include German translations if not available in English).
- Submit copies of your academic transcripts from your home university.
- Proof of your official German language skill certificate (at least level B2 level).
- Letter of recommendation from a university professor (ensure the letter is not older than two months).
- Letter of acceptance or certificate of enrollment if already accepted to study in a German university.
Kas Scholarship Amount
Kas scholarship recipients for the Bachelor’s, Master’s or postgraduate students are paid a monthly stipend of €992, while PHD students will receive a stipend amount of €1,400.
