Then Tony Elumelu Foundation has opened its 2026 application for young entrepreneur from 54 African countries. The Tony Elumelu Foundation, has shown that empowering ย entrepreneurs can create jobs, drive economic growth, and transform community development.

Since the Tony Elumelu Foundation program was launched, it has funded over 24,000 entrepreneurs, trained 2.5 million ย young people from various African countries, created more than 1.5 million jobs, and generated over US$4.2 billion in revenue.

The Tony Elumelu application is opened from 1st January, 2026 to 1st March, 2026. Successful applicants will receive US$5,000 in non-refundable seed capital, intensive business training, mentorship, and direct access to Africaโ€™s largest entrepreneurship network.

How do you qualify for Tony Elumelu Foundation?

The following applies to applicants of the the Tony Elumelu foundation:

  • must be 18 yrs old and above.
  • must be from an African country.
  • must have a scalable business ideas or a business that has been operational for no more than 3 years.
  • must meet the cut off mark during application.
  • must register on TEFConnect.net

How to Apply for the Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneur Program

  • Go to TEFConnect.net
  • Click create an account
  • fill the following information ( preferred language, profile type, country, region, first name, last name(surname), gender, email and password)
  • click register.
  • you will receive an email notifying you of your eligibility status for the Training Programme.

Who is eligible for the TEF program?

Any one above 18 years old from an African country with a scalable business ideas or a business operating about 3 years is eligible for the TEF program. However only applicants who meet the cut off mark during application are selected for the Tony Elumelu Foundation program.

How much is the Tony Elumelu Foundation grant?

Successful applicants of the Tony Elumelu Foundation will receive US$5,000 seed capital. As well as intensive business training, mentorship, and direct access to Africaโ€™s largest entrepreneurship network.
